School Uniforms : UK

Uniforms help prevent dress code violations and they help prevent school violence. They also help students prevent harassment When everyone is wearing the same clothes, people can’t judge on what others are wearing. Also they let people see who belongs to the school and who doesn’t. School uniforms make everyone uniform. It may create a school environment on one that is a “work” environment. There may be less peer pressure based on the way people dress. Clothes and fashion can be the source of teasing among children, making things particularly difficult for children from low income families. Requiring all students to wear identical uniforms removes this issue and helps create more balance and equality among the student body.

 

Assessment: Some would agree that uniforms do not do anything for students or their learning and growth. Most American schools and European countries do not adopt the school uniform. Though it is found common in a lot of Asian countries. Though the export of school uniforms will be good it wont instil a feel of discipline on its own for too long. Eventually it will come down to the attitude and protocol of the school and its teachers.
